Last Wednesday Josh had his 6 month visit. He weighed in at 19 lbs and is 28 inches long. Eating and sleeping are improving. Josh is now eating rice cereal, oatmeal, carrots, bananas, applesauce, sweet peas, sweet potatoes, and pears. Yum, yum! This weekend I made my first homemade baby food too. I ran out of the organic baby food I've been using and didn't want to go the grocery store so I looked in our freezer and sure enough, I had some peas. So I steamed them and pureed them in the blender. It was super easy. The only bad thing is that they say they will only last four days in the refridgerator. You're not supposed to re-freeze frozen items too. Oh well, he's having peas for the next four days. I think he'll be ok with that. He seems to enjoy them! Of course he will enjoy them along with fruit, cereal, and milk in case there's someone out there thinking I'm only going to feed him peas and going, oh my gosh! Don't worry.
This weekend Josh met Kirsten, one of my best friends from college. She came into town to shop for a cello bow and visit. She was great with Josh! She helped feed him, change him, bath him, and play with him. Thank you for all your help Kirsten. We had a great time!
