He's on a roll!

Josh has definitely mastered the roll. Yesterday almost every time I turned around he was in a different position- on his back or belly.

This morning has been a different routine, but one that I would love to repeat day after day. Josh woke up just before Jason's alarm went off at about 5:00am. Very early! Josh was a little restless from what we could hear, but still fussing about something. Jason went in the soothe him back to sleep and found him on his belly- that was a first! No wonder he wasn't happy. He snoozed for about another thirty minutes and then cried for food. I went to his rescue and thus the day began. A smoothie for breakfast, a walk with the dog and Josh (sigh), some laundry, kitchen cleaning, another feeding and a nap for Josh at 8:30. Then began my breakfast no. 2, a bird in the nest egg, and devotional reading. What a great day and there's still so much more of the day left. I'm excited and ready to play with Josh whenever he gets up.

PS. These photos were from yesterday. Check out his cute onesie- GO GAMECOCKS!

Home Improvements

Here's what my parents are busy doing when they aren't playing with me. For the record, I love looking up at that bright thing on the wall. Way to go Mom and Dad!

Daddy and his friend Richard drilling holes in the wall.

Still in need of improvements, but here's an update on the living room. Part of the mantle will be painted black, stuff will be put on the bookcases, and the holes will hopefully be repaired.

Half-a-roll

Josh is still working on rolling over and it's fine with me if it takes a while to master. I've heard that once babies master this skill they're always rolling over and you really have to be on guard. Here he is trying out one of his new play mats. Thanks Diane for the wonderful gift. Josh is really enjoying it!

Fun times in the park

A yearly tradition since I have lived here is attending JAZZ FESTIVAL at Piedmont Park in downtown Atlanta. This year we got to experience the fun with Josh and create some great memories. One of the biggest was... the first time Josh rolled over!

Josh is growing...

New developments for Josh
  • He loves to watch and play with things such as the octopus on his carseat, the fish animals on his crib, or other ocean animals on his playmat.
  • He laughs out loud (it's soooo cute!). He will do this when you try to tickle him either under the arms or more often when you try eating his belly (you'd have to see it for that to make sense).
  • He can sit-up with help and baubles his head less.
  • He likes to suck on his fingers, sometimes one, sometimes two, or the whole hand!
  • He's almost sleeping through the night. He's getting better day by day : )
